Front Cover
For my design of my front page, I decided to use similar content of what is used for regular school magazines.
The layout of the whole page is typical of a school magazine, showing the name of the school at the top which had been broken up into the two parts, 'Whitley' and 'Bay'. 'Whitley' takes up the whole top third of the page, drawing the readers eye towards the page. Below is the 'Bay' part which I have put into italics to break up the too words. These are again broken up by a dark blue line. Again, below that is the date of the issue. I have kept main headlines all to the left hand side with a few of the words overlapping.
I have placed three images on the page, two in landscape and one portrait. This follows the other school magazines as they rarely have one main image and stick to a few that link with the school. In my images I hope to have a landscape medium shot of a pupil looking at a computer, a landscape picture of the school and a portrait image of a student standing outside of the school.
The colours I have used are colours which are used in the school logo, or go well with the colours in the logo so I have mainly used blues and purples.
Contents
'Contents' takes up the whole top third of the page. The three scattered pictures are of art work that is around the school.
I used the same ways in which to show pages by putting them under a section and giving brief sentences telling the reader about the content.
